Flipping Items
A flipper is someone who flips products for profit. They are people that make from a few hundred dollars to over $100k in sales after their first year of flipping. I am currently a flipper primarily of clothing, purses and shoes and I enjoy it! 🙂
These are a few of the things I flipped for profit during the past year:
- A purse that I bought for $5 and flipped for $180 a month later.
- A poncho I bought for $1 and flipped for $60 a month to 2 later.
- A pair of shoes that I bought for $10 and sold for $90 a month to 2 later.
Note: Please note that for every sale that I flip for over $100 in profit after purchasing it for a low price, there are like 200 sales for a smaller profit margin. These high profit margin flips are truly what some people call thrifted treasures. Also, when thinking about margins, you have to consider the time it takes to look for the item, transport the item, prep the item, and photograph and list the item. In addition, you have to account for the inventory that will not sell for a while or at all and have some money save to purchase new inventory.
I am not in the $100K mark yet and probably will not get there any time soon because in order to get to that amount you have to list a lot and be consistent. I list periodically 1-2 items on average daily or every so often. There have been times that I haven’t listed for months and sales still came in during the months that I didn’t list. I enjoy it and most likely will be consistent with my listing but won’t list a lot.
